Candy AI vs OurDream AI (2026): Real Prices, From Someone Who Actually Pays

Candy AI vs OurDream AI real prices, verified July 2026: Candy AI $13.99 a month or $47.88 a year, OurDream AI $19.99 a month or $119.88 a year - a 2.5x yearly gap.

By Tim — last verified August 1, 2026

The short version

I read the comparisons of these two currently ranking on Google before writing this one. Every one of them that names a price gets Candy AI’s wrong — and the one that doesn’t name a price just tells you to check at the checkout. They say $12.99. The receipt in my inbox says $13.99. Small number, big tell: nobody who wrote those pages ever reached a checkout.

So here’s a different kind of comparison, and I’ll be exact about what I did. Candy AI: I pay for it, out of my own pocket, and I measured what every action costs. OurDream AI: I used the free tier and watched the coin balance move, but I have not paid them a cent — so everything about their paid plans comes from their own pages, their checkout and their published policies, labelled as such.

The receipts problem: why every comparison of these two is wrong about money

Let me start with the thing that made me write this article.

I pulled the comparison pages currently ranking for “Candy AI vs OurDream AI” and checked one boring, verifiable fact: the price of Candy AI’s monthly plan. Not the vibes, not the image quality — the number you actually get charged. Here’s what they say, checked July 29, 2026:

SourceCandy AI monthlyCandy AI quarterlyEvidence shown
Comparison site A~$12.99 (plus a “$19.99 Premium” tier)none
Comparison site B$12.99$7.99/monone
Comparison site C“starting at $12.99”none
Comparison site Dno prices at all — “verify at checkout”none
My account$13.99$8.99/mo ($26.97 up front)subscription screen ×3 + payment receipt

Four pages, four versions of reality — one of which is “we’re not going to tell you” — and zero screenshots, zero receipts between them.

Here’s mine. It’s a payment confirmation email from Candy AI, and it’s about as boring as evidence gets: Plan: Premium — Monthly. Billing Period: Jul 6 – Aug 6, 2026. Amount Paid: $13.99.

Candy AI payment receipt: Premium monthly plan, billing period July 6 to August 6, 2026, amount paid $13.99, renewing automatically at the same price.

I also checked the in-app subscription screen on July 17, July 23 and July 30, 2026, in the English, dollar-billed interface. Same three prices every time: $13.99 a month, $8.99/month billed as $26.97 quarterly, $3.99/month billed as $47.88 annually.

A dollar isn’t the point. The point is what a wrong dollar tells you: those pages were assembled from each other, not from an account. If the easiest checkable fact on a page is wrong, treat everything harder to check — “the memory is better,” “the images are sharper” — as decoration.

Tim’s Take

I’d rather be honest about a limitation than fake an experience. So, plainly: I pay for Candy. I used OurDream’s free tier and I did not pay for it, and I’ll flag which of OurDream’s numbers I saw with my own eyes and which come from their marketing. If you spot me claiming an experience I didn’t have, email me and I’ll pull the page.

Candy AI pricing: what my account actually shows

These are the plans in front of me, verified in-app on July 30, 2026:

PlanMonthly priceYou’re billedDiscount badge
1 month$13.99/mo$13.99 monthly
3 months$8.99/mo$26.97 up front35% off
12 months$3.99/mo$47.88 up front70% off (“Best Value”)
Candy AI's plan screen in English on July 30, 2026: $13.99 for one month, $8.99 a month for three months, and $3.99 a month for twelve months.

There is no $12.99 plan and no $19.99 plan on my account. There is a higher tier called Premium Plus — $22.38/month, or $6.38/month billed annually ($76.56) — but Candy doesn’t show it on its public pricing page at all; you only see it after logging in and clicking upgrade. I broke that tier down in my Candy AI pricing article.

Two lines printed on that same screen are worth keeping in mind, because they answer questions people ask me constantly: “Charge shown as ‘EverAI’ on your bank statement” and “Cancel subscription at any time in settings.”

(One honest caveat: prices can vary by country and currency, and Candy runs its own promotions. The figures above are the English/USD interface on three separate days in July 2026. If your screen says something else, believe your screen — and note that mine has never said $12.99.)

OurDream AI pricing: what OurDream charges

I haven’t paid OurDream, so this section is their own plans page and their own checkout, opened on July 31, 2026:

PlanList priceAnnual priceYou’re billedMonthly DreamCoins
Premium$19.99/mo$9.99/mo$119.88 up front1,000 (+1,000 bonus first month)
Deluxe$59.99/mo$29.99/mo$359.88 up front5,000 (+5,000 bonus first month)
OurDream AI annual pricing in English: Premium at $9.99 a month billed as $119.88 a year with 1,000 DreamCoins monthly, and Deluxe at $29.99 a month billed as $359.88 a year.

First thing worth noting: there are two paid tiers, and not one competing comparison mentions the second one. Deluxe is the tier that unlocks “free premium chat models” and “3× chat memory” — which is to say, if you read a comparison praising OurDream’s memory, that praise may belong to a $359.88-a-year plan, not the one being priced up against Candy.

Now put the two official price lists side by side:

  • Month to month, OurDream is $6 more ($19.99 vs $13.99).
  • On the annual plan, OurDream’s entry tier costs two and a half times as much$119.88 a year against Candy’s $47.88. That is the single biggest, most checkable money fact in this comparison, and I could not find one competing article that states it plainly.
  • The top tiers aren’t close either: Candy’s Premium Plus is $76.56/year. OurDream’s Deluxe is $359.88/year.

At OurDream’s checkout there’s also a slider to add extra DreamCoins to your order — 1,000 / 5,000 / 20,000 — bolted onto the first payment. I left it at zero, so it showed $0.

The discount that doesn’t add up

This one is small, and I only caught it because I check arithmetic on principle.

OurDream’s annual toggle wears a badge that says “Save 60% + free coins.” But the prices next to it are $19.99 → $9.99 and $59.99 → $29.99. That’s 50% off, on both tiers. Not 60%.

To be fair, the dollar claim on the same card is exactly right: “Save $120.00/yr” — $239.88 minus $119.88 really is $120.00. And Deluxe’s “Save $360.00/yr” checks out too. So this reads like a rounded-up marketing badge rather than anything sinister.

But here’s why I’m bothering to mention it. I ran the same check on Candy: the badge says 70% OFF, and $13.99 → $3.99 is 71.5%. Candy’s badge is accurate, and understated.

Tim’s Take

Nobody’s getting hurt by a badge that rounds 50 up to 60. I flag it because a comparison should test the small claims you can verify, not just repeat the big ones you can’t. And in this case the app with the bigger discount claim is the one with the smaller discount.

“1,000 coins vs 100 tokens” is not the 10× it looks like

Here’s where every other comparison quietly cheats.

Candy gives you 100 tokens a month. OurDream advertises 1,000 DreamCoins a month. Write those next to each other and OurDream looks ten times more generous — which is exactly how the comparison pages present it, and exactly why it’s meaningless.

A coin and a token are different units. The only number that matters is what one action costs. So here are both columns filled in. Candy’s are measured on my paid account (July 23, 2026). OurDream’s come from two places, and I’ve labelled which is which: their published allowance maths, and what I watched happen to my own free balance.

ActionCandy AI (measured, paid account)OurDream AI DreamCoins
Text message0 — unlimited, no tokens1 coin on the free tier (observed) · unlimited on paid
Voice / audio message0.2 tokensnot itemised · “unlimited audio messages” on paid
Voice call3 tokens / minute50 coins / minute (from 1,000 coins = 20 minutes)
Image2 (V1 engine) / 4 (V2 engine)5 coins by their maths (1,000 = 200 images) — but the generate button charged me 10
Video12 (5 sec) / 20 (10 sec)100 coins (1,000 = 10 videos) — length not stated
Extra AI character10 tokens (first is free)5 coins — the button literally says “Next 🪙5”
OurDream AI character creator on a free account, with the Next button showing a cost of 5 dreamcoins.

Three things fall out of that table, and none of them appear in the pages currently ranking:

1. OurDream’s own numbers don’t match its own button. Their plans page says 1,000 coins buys 200 images, which is 5 coins each. When I generated an image on the free tier, my balance went from 50 to 40. Either the price differs between free and paid, or an image costs more than the marketing maths implies, or a single click produces more than one image. I don’t know which, and I’m not going to pretend I do — but it’s the kind of gap you only find by pressing the button.

2. Their video figure has no unit. Candy prices video by length: 12 tokens for 5 seconds, 20 for 10. OurDream says “10 videos” without saying how long a video is. A 10-video allowance means nothing until you know whether that’s 5 seconds or 30.

3. On the free tier, talking costs money. This is the big one. Candy’s text chat consumes zero tokens, forever, on any paid plan. On OurDream’s free tier I watched 40 coins become 34 after doing exactly two things: creating a character (the button charged 5) and sending one message. That leaves one coin for the message — and OurDream’s own upgrade banner, sitting above the chat, says “Unlock unlimited chat.” You don’t need to unlock unlimited chat unless chat is limited.

OurDream AI free account showing 40 dreamcoins left, with a banner offering unlimited chat plus 1,000 coins on upgrade.
OurDream AI free account down to 34 dreamcoins after creating one character and sending a single message.

So Candy’s 100 monthly tokens buy about 25 images on the newer engine, or five 10-second videos, or hundreds of voice messages — with text chat free on top of that, always. That’s the honest shape of it.

Tim’s Take

If a comparison tells you “1,000 coins beats 100 tokens” without telling you what a coin buys, that’s the tell. It’s like comparing salaries in different currencies without the exchange rate.

Fact-checking OurDream’s claim about token apps

OurDream makes a specific, aggressive marketing claim on its own homepage. Quoted exactly, verified July 29, 2026: “on most other platforms, you will spend $20-40+ per month on additional tokens.”

To be fair to them: OurDream does not name Candy AI in that sentence. It says “most other platforms.” But it’s plainly aimed at token-based apps, and Candy is the biggest one — so let me do the thing nobody else in this niche can, and check it against actual token consumption.

What would it take to spend $20–40/month on extra Candy tokens? Candy’s top-up packs run $9.99 for 100 tokens up to $299.99 for 3,750 — roughly $0.10 per token at the small end, $0.08 at the large end. So $20–40 buys you roughly 200–400 extra tokens a month. In real actions, that’s:

  • about 50–100 extra images on the V2 engine (2–3 a day, every day), or
  • about 10–20 extra 10-second videos, or
  • roughly 70–130 minutes of voice calls

My verdict: the claim is true for one specific person and false for most. If you generate multiple images a day or make video regularly, yes — you will spend $20–40/month on top of your Candy subscription, and OurDream’s criticism lands. If you’re mainly there to talk, you will spend exactly $0 on extra tokens, because Candy’s text chat doesn’t consume any. That’s not a small caveat; based on how I actually use it, talking is most of the product.

And there’s an irony in it. The platform criticising metered tokens is the one where, before you pay, each message you send burns a coin. Their flat plan does fix that — “unlimited messages” is right there on the card. But the pitch is best read as: if you’re a heavy media generator, a flat plan may cost you less than metered tokens. Fair. Just not the universal gotcha it’s dressed up as.

The free plans: what you actually get before paying

This is the section people actually search for, and it’s where the competing pages disagree with each other most.

Candy AI’s free plan (from Candy’s own terms and help documentation, verified July 20, 2026):

  • Up to 5 messages total — across all characters, not per character
  • 1 custom AI character
  • 1 image
Tim

Five messages. I’ve had longer conversations with a parking meter.

That’s a shop window, not a test drive. And note what the ranking comparisons claim instead: one says Candy’s free tier gives you “unlimited text chat and about 100 monthly tokens” (it doesn’t — that’s the paid plan), another says “watermarked images, SFW only.” Both are describing an app they didn’t open.

There’s also the trial question. Candy’s marketing has referred to a “7-day trial,” but its Terms of Service contain no trial clause and the checkout has no $0 option — I went looking on more than one day. I wrote that contradiction up in full in Is Candy AI Free?

OurDream AI’s free plan works on a completely different principle, and this is where I stopped reading other people’s pages and opened an account instead. The comparison pages claim anything from “50 messages and 5 image credits per day” to “55 free DreamCoins.” Here’s what I actually saw:

  • No credit card. I signed up with a Google account and was in — no card number, no billing address, nothing to cancel later.
  • You get a starting balance of DreamCoins, and the free tier is metered in those coins rather than in messages. Mine started at 60. (Signup bonuses in this niche change constantly, so treat that as a snapshot from July 2026, not a promise.)
  • Sending a message spends a coin. Balance went 40 → 34 across creating one character (5) and sending one message.
  • You can build a character for free — name, age (18+), voice, personality, occupation, relationship, hobby, fetish, then hair, body type, ethnicity, skin tone, eye and hair colour, anime style, even a “custom physical details” field. The character is generated with a portrait. It cost 5 coins.
  • Writing your own image prompt is not free — custom prompts are gated to Premium.
  • Generating an image cost 10 coins, taking me from 50 to 40.
  • The wall is not a message count. The wall is running out of coins, and OurDream’s banner says so itself: “Unlock unlimited chat + 1,000 coins.”

The practical difference: Candy’s free tier is a demo, OurDream’s is a sample. Candy gives you five messages and stops. OurDream gives you a pot of coins and lets you decide whether to spend it on chatting, a character, or an image — which is genuinely more useful for evaluating the product, and also means an image or two can burn most of it. Sixty coins is one image, one character and a short conversation. Then you’re looking at the upgrade button.

Tim’s Take

Here’s the honest comparison nobody wants to make: OurDream’s free tier told me more about the product in fifteen minutes than Candy’s five messages ever did. If you’re shopping, start there — you’ll learn whether you like the writing before anyone has your card number.

Who runs each company — the part nobody checks

If you’re putting adult chat into an app, the company behind it matters more than the pixel quality. None of the four ranking comparisons mentions this at all, so:

Candy AI is operated by EverAI Limited, registered in Malta, company number C107181, at 56 Central Business Centre, Triq Is-Soll, Santa Venera SVR 1833. I pulled that from the public registry, and it’s printed at the bottom of my receipt too. It matters practically: “EverAI” is what appears on your card statement, not “Candy AI.”

Candy AI is run by EverAI Limited, company Nr. C107181, registered at 56 Central Business Centre, Triq Is-Soll, Santa Venera SVR 1833, Malta.

OurDream AI’s checkout names Dream Studio USA, Inc., and states in small print: “Appears as DREAMSTUDIOS.CO on your statement.”

OurDream AI checkout page: Premium Annual for $119.88 per year, operated by Dream Studio USA, Inc., appearing as DREAMSTUDIOS.CO on your bank statement.

Their legal pages go further than the footer does. The Refund Policy is issued jointly by three entities, with addresses:

  • Dream Studio USA, Inc. — 1111B S Governors Ave STE 28684, Dover, DE 19904
  • Dream Studio LLC — 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE Ste N, Albuquerque, NM 87110
  • Tektopia Ltd — registration HE 473775, Neptune House, Zakaki, 3045 Limassol, Cyprus

Two US entities plus a Cyprus company is a normal structure for this industry, and having named, addressed entities is more than a lot of these apps offer. I’ll note without editorialising that the Delaware address is a suite number of the kind used by registered-agent services, which is also completely normal and tells you nothing on its own.

So on the discretion question that a lot of people are quietly asking: neither app puts its own name on your bank statement. Candy shows EverAI; OurDream shows DREAMSTUDIOS.CO.

OurDream accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, card (Visa/Mastercard/Discover) and crypto. Candy takes cards and crypto too, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay per its help centre.

I go much deeper on Candy’s corporate side, data handling, and what “EverAI” on your statement means in Is Candy AI Safe?

Cancelling and refunds

The least glamorous section, and the one that costs people the most money.

Candy AI. Every plan auto-renews — my receipt says so in as many words: “Your subscription renews automatically on Aug 6, 2026 for another month at $13.99 using the same payment method.” Cancelling is self-service, Settings → Unsubscribe, and the same email spells out what happens next: “If you cancel, you’ll keep access until your current subscription term ends.” That’s the answer to the question I get most often about this app, in writing, from the company. Refunds are allowed within 24 hours of payment, and Candy’s help centre adds a condition the terms don’t: that you’ve used 20 tokens or fewer. EU and UK buyers get a 14-day withdrawal right on a first purchase.

That 24-hour window matters double on the annual plan, because $47.88 leaves your account today, not in monthly slices.

OurDream AI. Correction to an earlier version of this article: I originally wrote that I couldn’t reach OurDream’s terms from outside. I was wrong — there is a full Terms & Policies page, and it’s more thorough than most in this industry: Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, a dedicated Refund Policy, Community Guidelines, Prohibited Content, Content Removal, Content Moderation, Pre- and Post-Screening, Complaint Policy, an 18 U.S.C. 2257 exemption notice, Underage, AML/Anti-Fraud, and Sex Trafficking policies.

OurDream AI's Terms and Policies page, listing a Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy alongside its content and compliance policies.

So I read the Refund Policy (last modified March 9, 2026). Here’s what it actually says — and it is not what the review sites say it says.

  • There is no change-of-mind refund window. What OurDream offers is a “Quality Guarantee”: if the service is “defective” or “significantly different from its description,” you email support within 14 days of purchase, and they may — “at our discretion” — give you a credit, a replacement, a fix, or a refund. Requests are handled “on a case-by-case basis,” resolved within 7 business days.
  • Cancelling is easy and gets you nothing back. You can cancel any time in account settings or by email; access runs to the end of the billing period; and “unused portions of a billing period are generally non-refundable.”
  • EEA, UK and Swiss buyers get the statutory 14-day withdrawal right — with a catch worth reading twice: if you start using the service immediately and consent to that, “you may lose your right of withdrawal once the digital content or service has been fully provided.”
  • Crypto payments are final. “All payments made with cryptocurrency are final and non-refundable.” Given that crypto is offered right at the checkout, that’s a meaningful trapdoor.
  • Don’t reach for a chargeback first. Filing one without contacting them “may result in suspension of your account pending investigation.”

Now compare like for like. Candy publishes an actual refund window — 24 hours, no reason required. OurDream publishes a defect remedy at company discretion and explicitly no refund for the time you haven’t used. Both let you cancel in settings; both keep you running to the end of the period. But if the question is “I paid $119.88 this morning and changed my mind this afternoon,” only one of these two policies has an answer for you, and it isn’t the $119.88 one.

Tim’s Take

This is the section I’d have got wrong if I’d trusted the other review sites. Several of them state confidently that OurDream refunds you if you’ve used “less than 25%” of your coins, that monthly plans are non-refundable once coins are spent, and that annual plans qualify for partial refunds. None of that appears anywhere in the actual policy. Somebody invented a number, and everyone else copied it — same disease that produced the $12.99.

So which one should you pick?

Here’s my position, stated as honestly as I can given what I’ve actually paid for.

Pick Candy AI if you mostly want to talk. Unlimited text costs zero tokens, the annual plan is $47.88 — under half OurDream’s $119.88 — and the refund window and cancellation terms arrive in your inbox on the receipt. For a texter, Candy is the cheaper product by a wide margin, and that’s not a matter of taste, it’s arithmetic on two official price lists.

Consider OurDream if you’re a heavy media generator — and specifically if you’d otherwise be buying Candy token packs every month. Its whole pitch is a flat plan with a large monthly coin allowance instead of metered top-ups, and if you’re the person spending $30 a month on extra Candy tokens, that pitch is aimed squarely at you and may well be right. Just price it against Deluxe if what attracted you was the memory: 3× chat memory is a $359.88/year feature, not a $119.88 one.

Try OurDream’s free tier before either. It’s genuinely more informative than Candy’s five messages — you can build a character and see the writing quality before spending anything. Just know the coins go fast: one image took 10 of mine.

And one thing I didn’t expect to be writing. I pay for Candy. I’ve used it for months. But sitting with OurDream’s free tier for an afternoon, I liked it better — the characters wrote with more texture, the replies felt less like they were filling in a template. That’s a first impression on a free account against months of a paid one, so weigh it accordingly, and it isn’t enough to make me move my subscription. But I’d be lying by omission if I left it out of a comparison, and this site is not that.

What I still can’t tell you — and won’t pretend to: whether OurDream’s paid images, memory or video hold up over a month, because I haven’t paid for them. Every other comparison answers that confidently. None of them has a receipt for either app.

FAQ

Is OurDream AI cheaper than Candy AI?

No. Candy AI is $13.99/month or $47.88/year; OurDream AI’s Premium tier is $19.99/month or $119.88/year, and its Deluxe tier is $359.88/year (all verified July 2026). OurDream includes a larger monthly credit allowance, so heavy image and video users may spend less overall — but for text-based use, Candy is substantially cheaper.

How much does Candy AI cost, really?

$13.99 month-to-month, $8.99/month billed quarterly ($26.97), or $3.99/month billed annually ($47.88). My last payment receipt says $13.99. Text chat is unlimited and free of tokens; images, video and voice calls spend from a 100-token monthly allowance, and heavy users top up with packs starting at $9.99 for 100 tokens.

Is Candy AI’s monthly plan $12.99?

Not on my account. Several comparison articles state $12.99, but my subscription screen has shown $13.99 on every date I’ve checked (July 17, 23 and 30, 2026) and my payment receipt says $13.99. Prices can vary by region and promotion — check your own screen before buying.

Does OurDream AI have a free plan?

Yes, and it works differently from Candy’s. No credit card is needed — I signed up with a Google account. Instead of a message cap you get a balance of DreamCoins (mine started at 60) and spend it as you like: roughly one coin per message, 5 coins to create a character, 10 for an image on my account. When the balance runs out, the chat stops until you upgrade.

What is a DreamCoin worth?

By OurDream’s own published allowance, 1,000 coins a month buys 200 images, 20 minutes of voice calls, or 10 videos — so about 5 coins per image and 50 per minute of call. On the free tier, though, generating an image took 10 coins from my balance, not 5. Treat the published figures as the paid-plan maths.

Can you get a refund from OurDream AI?

Not for changing your mind. OurDream’s Refund Policy (last modified March 9, 2026) offers a 14-day “Quality Guarantee” for a service that is defective or significantly different from its description, resolved at the company’s discretion on a case-by-case basis — and it states that unused portions of a billing period are generally non-refundable. Crypto payments are final. EEA, UK and Swiss buyers keep their statutory 14-day withdrawal right. By comparison, Candy AI allows a refund within 24 hours of payment, no reason required.

Which one is better for NSFW?

Both are adult apps and neither pretends otherwise — OurDream’s free character creator includes a “fetish” field, and its chat suggested a reply asking for a sexy picture without any prompting from me. But writing custom image prompts is Premium-only, so I can’t compare generated output fairly, and I’d rather say “I don’t know yet” than guess.

Who owns Candy AI and OurDream AI?

Candy AI is operated by EverAI Limited (Malta, company no. C107181) — that’s also the name on your card statement. OurDream AI’s refund policy is issued jointly by Dream Studio USA, Inc. (Delaware), Dream Studio LLC (New Mexico) and Tektopia Ltd (HE 473775, Cyprus), and its checkout states the charge appears as DREAMSTUDIOS.CO.
